‘Awesome Autumn Week - Willow Sculpture Workshop’
Page 3
The work begins - Day 1
Well, the Willow Sculpture workshop has come to the end of its week and great fun
seems to have been had by all. Pat Bullen-Whatling (centre column of pictures, 2nd
down, figure on right) was delighted that the October weather was kind in the extreme
and that it was warm enough to work in shirtsleeves!

It was estimated that she had over one-hundred visitors on Day One alone but with
several sculptures to work on there was never a problem of too many hands.
The projects included:
- Left column of pics, 2nd down, a White Park Cow in the making.
- Left column of pics, 3rd down, Excalibur being raised into the air takes shape.
- Right column of pics, 2nd down, the framework for the raised hump of a worm-like
dragon with (behind it) its tail raised into the air.
- Right column of pics, 3rd down, the same dragon but from the rear, tail up then arching
body - - - the head of the dragon appears on the next page.
Just a very few of the children and their families are featured (due only to lack
of space here) but the flow of newcomers was constant and many of the children stayed
a long time, even when their Mums and Dads and grandparents went off to walk through
the nearby woods or climb the hill to the impressive ruins of Dinefwr Castle - just
one long arrow shot away. Please click HERE for
