Pat Bullen-Whatling was re-commissioned by the National Trust to run a two day event during the Art and Culture Week at Parc Dinefwr Park. She chose to construct a weaver-bird’s nest, inviting the visitors to join in if they wished.

 

This willow sculpture of a bird’s nest was designed to be lifelike and interesting but, as a twist, it was actually taller than the artist. Photographs of the evolution of the piece, together with some of the people who assisted, follow.
